The start of our journey/ Social Worker 1st Visit

The beginning of December 2008 is when our adoption journey first began. I filled out the application and we both signed it and mailed it. I had no idea what to expect next or when. Well very shortly after mailing the form, Bart got sick and was in the hospital for 12 days, so of course, Adoption was the last thing on my mind. Actually the social worker had called the house and left a message while he was in the hospital. I finally called her back and explained that Bart was in the hospital, she was wanting to set up our first meeting. Our first meeting with our social worker was on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. We had lots more paper to fill out and she was telling us what to expect and wanted to make sure we were in for the long haul. Then the paper chase began.
